Claudia Isabel Palacios
Giraldo (born October 1, 1977 in Cali) is a Colombian journalist and newscaster.
She is best known as the weekend news anchor on CNN en Español, a position she
has held since 2004.
Eduardo Santos Montejo
(Bogotá, August 28, 1888 - Bogotá, March 27, 1974) was a leading Colombian
publisher and politician, active in the Colombian Liberal Party. He owned the
prominent Bogotá newspaper El Tiempo, and served as the President of Colombia
from August 1938 to August 1942.
Guillermo Cano Isaza (12
August 1925 – 17 December 1986) was a Colombian journalist. The editor of the
daily El Espectador, he was murdered in front of the paper's offices by two
hitmen linked to Colombia's drug cartels. It was assumed that the attack was in
reprisal for a campaign he had launched in the paper to denounce the influence
of drug traffickers in the country's politics. The same building was destroyed
in a bomb attack three years later.
Ángela Patricia Janiot Martirena
(born 1963) is a Colombian journalist, news presenter on CNN en Español, beauty
queen and former model. Before becoming a journalist, Janiot was a Colombian
model, then she participated as Miss Santander on Miss Colombia pageant in
1983, she resulted the first-runner of the pageant and becomes Miss World
Colombia who was the delegate of Colombia to Miss World pageant.
