Imagine you have to describe a kind of weather to someone who has never
experienced it before — for example, a snowstorm or the sound of a
hurricane or strong wind. Start with phrases such as the following: It
looks like . . . It sounds like . . . It makes you think of . . . It makes
you feel .
Write a paragraph trying to "paint a picture" with words, so the person
reading your description could visualize the kind of weather you are
describing. Use the adjectives you learned in the vocabulary section of
this week. As a conclusion, include a couple of recommendations about what
people should do in this kind of weather (remember to use the
subjunctive).
Write your paragraph on the clipboard, save it on a text document and
send it to your instructor by mail. |
